Apple has already begun offering the latest M2 Mac Studio models in its refurbished store, just months after its June launch.

Mac Studio

Mac Studio with M2 Max and M2 Ultra was revealed during WWDC in June. The product is mostly identical to the previous model besides the chipset upgrades.

The official Apple refurbished store now offers the updated Mac Studio starting at about $270 off retail. That's not an insignificant discount for those who have held off on upgrading so far.

Refurbished Macs are backed by a one-year warranty. Plus, Apple puts these Macs through function testing and uses genuine Apple replacement parts if any are needed.

The same accessories and cables included with the refurbished Mac are also included in the box. In the case of the Mac Studio, that's just the single power cord.

There isn't a science to figuring out when a product might show up on the refurbished store. AirPods 3 took years, while Mac Studio only took a few months.

Mac Studio with M2 Max starts at $1,999 and can be gotten at a discounted price at the refurbished store. A $300 discount is 15% off, which is more than Apple will ever offer via a sale.

A refurbished Mac Studio with M2 Ultra is discounted by $600. That's also 15% off, leaving the price at $3,399.
