Apple's longstanding tradition of taking the online Apple Store down ahead of an event continues, as the Scary Fast event starts soon.
Scary Fast
The Apple Store routinely goes offline so Apple can generate some hype around an event. It tends to go down hours ahead of an event, but sometimes closer.
Apple's Scary Fast event is taking place at an unusually late time on Monday night, so the Apple Store didn't go down until half an hour before the 8 p.m. EST event. Rumors suggest Apple could reveal new M-series processors and Mac accessories with USB-C.
The M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max could be announced with the 24-inch iMac and updated MacBook Pro models. Other signs point to a possible iPad mini refresh and an emphasis on gaming.
