Several rumors suggest Apple won't offer a gold iPhone 15 Pro color option, instead going with blue, black, and gray for the color scheme.
iPhone 15 Pro in blue
Apple's pro iPhone models tend to have muted color schemes to represent the more "professional" and more expensive nature of the devices. The fun, loud, and playful colors tend to be reserved for the standard iPhone models.
This trend is rumored to continue with the iPhone 15 Pro, according to multiple reputable sources. A new report from 9to5Mac with info from unknown sources states Apple will abandon gold in favor of blue, natural titanium gray, space black, and silver.
This rumor coincides with the leaker @URedditor from X. They have posted color rumors repeatedly in the past few weeks, suggesting Apple would have neutral color options.
Just a recap of the colors to expect on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max:

- Blue
- Space Black / Space Gray
- Titanium Gray
- Silver
Apple has only ever offered titanium in a natural silver color or Space Black with Apple Watch Series 7. Apple Watch Ultra is also titanium and only available in the natural titanium color.
Moving the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to titanium represents a new shift for Apple with the material. Customers are used to some variety of colors to choose from, even if pro models tend to be more muted.
Previous rumors suggested a dark red iPhone 15 Pro could exist, but those rumors haven't been repeated recently. The marquee color seems to be the new dark blue color.
The loss of gold as an option for pro models will likely turn off some customers, and moving to a more colorful standard model likely won't be an option since they'd be sacrificing many features like improved cameras. Instead, customers will likely hold on to their older pro models longer in the hopes for a return of the color.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 lineup during an event in mid-September. Rumored features include a titanium finish, periscope camera in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and a more powerful A17 processor.
