After three months as a US-exclusive, the Apple Vision Pro has now been announced for eight more countries, including China.
Apple Vision Pro is arriving in more Apple Stores worldwide
After being announced at WWDC in June 2023, the Apple Vision Pro finally went on sale on February 2, 2024 -- but only in the US. There have since been signs such as job listings that suggest the headset is going overseas, and Tim Cook specifically said that China would get it in 2024.
"The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, "and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world."
During Apple's iPad event, Apple has announced the launch of the Apple Vision Pro in these countries with pre-orders beginning on June 13, 2024:
- China
- Japan
- Singapore
Apple Vision Pro will then be available in those countries on June 28.
On that same day, Apple Vision Pro pre-orders will open for the following countries:
- Australia
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- UK
In each of these countries, Apple Vision Pro will then be available from July 12.
At launch, the Apple Vision Pro cost from $3,499, although at times since then it has seen discounts of up to $200. International pricing appears to be broadly in line with the US, although there are currency fluctuations, and some territories include tax in the published price.
The Apple Vision Pro starts with 256GB storage, but can be bought with 512GB or 1TB. As with the US, optical inserts are sold separately.
One potential downside to the Apple Vision Pro launching overseas three months after it did in the US, is that this means Apple is one full quarter closer to releasing a second headset. As of late, the Apple Vision Pro follow-up has been rumored to arrive in late 2025 or early 2026.
