Expiring Deal: Apple's 15" MacBook Pro (2.5GHz, 16GB, 512GB, 750M) for $1,799 ($700 off)

In yet another unbelievable WWDC deal from Apple's Authorized Resellers, readers today can take advantage of an offer that delivers a $700 discount and the lowest price we've ever seen for Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro (2.5GHz, 16GB, 512GB, 750M) model MGXC2LL/A at $1,799.99 (or $1,949.99 with AppleCare) with free accessories. [Update: The $1799 price on this deal is set to expire soon.]

This MacBook Pro, introduced one year ago, is strikingly similar to the model that replaced it just a few months ago. The only material differences being the presence of a ForceTouch Trackpad, slightly faster internal flash memory, and a AMD Radeon R9 M370X graphics card instead of a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M on the 2015 models.

The Deal

Apple Authorized reseller B&H Photo has this model for $1,899.00 $1,999.95 outright (or $2,143.00 $2,243.95 with AppleCare) with free shipping and no sales tax collected on orders shipped outside NY.

However, Apple Authorized Reseller Adorama is serving up a killer deal that knocks the price down an additional $100 to an all time low of $1,799.99 ($700 off) after a $200 mail-in rebate (issued as a $200 pre-paid card). It's also offering this same model with AppleCare included for just $1,949.99 ($898 off) when using the same rebate and applying $150 promo code APINSIDER during checkout. Both include free shipping and Adorama also does not collect sales tax on orders shipped outside NY & NJ.

Plus a Free or Deeply Discounted Accessory

For both these offers, readers can also choose from one of 2 free accessories or 3 heavily discounted accessories. The Free Accessory options include an LG 8x External DVD Disc Writer or a Sabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub. The discounted accessories include a WD My Passport Ultra 1TB Portable HDD (for $29.00), Microsoft Sculpt Bluetooth Comfort Mouse (for $5), or Corel's Digital Organization Creativity Suite for Mac (for $10).

Perhaps these amazing deals are coming around because Skylake is on the horizon.  For sure that is gonna cost a pretty penny.  So definitely this is a good deal.

Didn't realize that, but still tempting.

This is great; it saves you $750-$900 off the cost of the updated MBP 15" with AppleCare! For me, the force touch, improved dGPU (albeit with DX12...this one has DX11.1), and faster storage (this storage is also fast) doesn't justify the extra $$$. Skylake MBP will more than likely come out between Q3 2015 and Q2 2016, and will probably be really nice, but will also likely retail 3k-4k. The microsoft mouse (works on pc/mac) and USB adapter are well reviewed, and come free, which is a nice addition. For comparison, at the time of this writing, this MBP on amazon, used, cost at least $1900 (not including or including dated applecare). Thank you!
