The slate of new software updates, announced during Monday's WWDC 2020 keynote, represent major changes for each Apple operating system.
iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 will introduce major changes to the Home screen and app interface, updates to Messages and Safari, an overhaul of the Siri interface, and a new virtual CarKey feature. It will be compatible with all iPhones and iPads that iOS 13 supported.
Big Sur lays the groundwork for Apple's shift to first-party silicon, and revamps the Mac operating system with a new design and Safari upgrades.
watchOS 7 introduces Sleep Tracking for the first time, as well as new workouts, watch faces and other associated changes.
tvOS 14 adds the Home app for Apple TV, and introduces incremental changes to HomeKit Secure Video and Apple Arcade.
Developers can download the betas and their related configuration profiles from the Apple Developer Center. After that, over-the-air updates will be available for further betas.
As always, it's recommended that beta testers avoid installing beta software on "mission-critical" devices.
