According to Deadline, the multi-year deal will include both television projects and film features.
Aside from its film catalog, Appian Way has also worked on documentaries such as "Grant" and upcoming Disney+ show "The Right Stuff." Previously, Appian Way Productions had a deal with Paramount Pictures.
The deal will build on an existing relationship between DiCaprio and Apple. Earlier in 2020, Apple reportedly won the rights to Martin Scorsese-directed "Killers of the Flower Moon," which stars DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
In July, Apple also ordered a new thriller series dubbed "Shining Girls." That show is being produced by Appian Way and stars Elisabeth Moss.
Appian Way will join an existing slate of companies who have deals with Apple, including A24 Studios, Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions, and Idris Elba's Green Door Pictures.
Although Apple hasn't released firm subscriber statistics for Apple TV+, it said at WWDC 2020 that the service was on one billion screens as of June. On Sunday, Apple and American Airlines made a handful of Apple TV+ originals available to stream for free on the airlines' flights.
