How to watch Apple's April 20 'Spring Loaded' event

Apple's "Spring Loaded" event is set to debut on April 20 and will be available to watch across most Apple devices from iPhone to Apple TV, as well as from your favorite browsers.

On Tuesday, April 20, Apple will host its first event of 2021, dubbed "Spring Loaded." It will again be a pre-produced video with no live audience, to prevent the unnecessary spread of the coronavirus.

Like all Apple events, "Spring Loaded" will be available to watch online, and viewers will have a few different options to choose from when tuning in to the event.

One of the easiest ways to watch an Apple event is from YouTube. There's already a placeholder that marks the event's time and date and a handy reminder feature.

Additionally, watching it on YouTube allows you to view it from the YouTube app on your iPhone or iPad, in your favorite browser, be it Safari or something else, or on the YouTube app for Apple TV.

You can watch the upcoming event on your Apple TV, too. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't put a placeholder card for the event on Apple TV.

On April 20, you'll need to open the Apple TV app around 1:00 pm Eastern/10:00 am Pacific. Running a search for "Apple events" beforehand yields nothing particularly useful, either. Instead of a landing page for upcoming events, you'll only find previous events listed under the "movies" section.

Should you not want to watch on YouTube, you can always watch the event directly from Apple's website in your preferred browser.

If you head to Apple's U.S. Apple Events page, you'll see a placeholder image informing you of when to tune in.

If you view the page from a non-U.S. site, it simply directs you to head to the U.S. site instead and offers a link to head straight to the page linked above.

It's probable that Apple's decision to limit the streaming to its U.S.-facing site results from some lessons learned over the WWDC coverage. In which case, the replay might be made available on all Apple sites afterward.
