Transcend's JetDrive Lite 330 adds storage to the new MacBook Pro

Take advantage of your MacBook Pro's SD card slot and expand your storage with the JetDrive Lite 330.

While the new line of MacBook Pro laptops offers more storage than previous MacBook Pro lines, many users believe the prices for extra storage are simply not affordable. Many users would like a way to get more storage without breaking the bank.

Transcend has developed its new JetDrive Lite 330 expansion card, allowing users to get more space at a better price. As an added bonus, the card sits flush with the side of a user's MacBook Pro, protecting it from bumps and snags.

The JetDrive Lite 330 fits into the SD card slot of the 2021 MacBook Pro, as well as the MacBook Pro with Retina display. This design allows the lesser-used port to serve an invaluable purpose for many users, all the while freeing up valuable USB and HDMI ports for everyday connectivity.

The JetDrive Lite 330 offers read speeds of up to 95 MB/s and write speeds of up to 75 MB/s for fast data transfer and retrieval.

It is available from Amazon in 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB storage capacities, with prices starting at $36.03.

How does it compare with cheap SD to microSD adapters?

How does it compare with cheap SD to microSD adapters?

Both will protrude outside the MBP body, so will be annoying if you forget to take it out before put in your bag. Speed wise, I think it is on par with other middle grade SD card.

The Amazon link takes us to a very old product stating support for Apple laptops 2010-2015 models. Does the product still work for newer laptops?

That's what Transcend said yesterday to us. We've got one on order, and we'll let you know.

"As an added bonus, the card sits flush with the side of a user's MacBook Pro, protecting it from bumps and snags". I had one years ago for an old MacBook Pro and it was flush.
