The 2021 MacBook Pro is a portable powerhouse that you want to take with you everywhere, but it's also an expensive machine that could use some protection. Here are some of the best cases to protect your brand-new laptop.
There are so many case choices for the 2021 MacBook Pro, and we've used most of them. Here are the cases that we think are the best — and all these cases come in both 14- and 16-inch sizes.
Incase Hardshell Case Dots for MacBook Pro
Incase is another popular accessory maker that has made cases for Apple devices for many years. The company's Hardshell Case Dots cover for the Late 2021 MacBook Pro features a textured dot design to add some subtle style to the laptop.
Hailing itself as the creator of the original MacBook hardshell case, Incase says its design is inspired by Apple. It features rubber feet to stabilize the laptop, wide cutouts for access to ports, and added ventilation to ensure proper cooling of the laptop. The 100% recyclable Makrolon polycarbonate plastic material is made in a process that is low-emissions.
It's available in Clear, Black, and Ice Pink options and retails for $54.95.
Speck SmartShell for MacBook Pro (2021)
The classic MacBook Pro hardshell case line has been updated for the new line featuring Apple Silicon.
Available in four color options, it features clips to secure itself to the MacBook, and rubber feet to increase traction against a table.
The case is scratch-resistant and helps the laptop be resistant to scratches, dents, and punctures. This comes in a design that is still remarkably thin. The SmartShell case retails for $49.95, but can be found at Amazon for up to 32% off.
Fintie Protective Case for MacBook Pro
The highest-rated case on Amazon, the Fintie Protective Case features a heavy-duty APU material design.
The rubber bumpers on the corner protect the edges of the laptops from bumps or hits. Advertising itself as "easy to put on or take off," the design enables full access to the ports and gives good clearance to the built-in Liquid Retina XDR display.
It is also vented to ensure that the material won't cause the laptop to overheat. The Fintie Protective Case sells for $32.99.
Spigen Case MacBook Pro Urban Fit
The polycarbonate and fabric Urban Fit case by Spigen uses the combo of materials to add style to the laptop without sacrificing protection.
The knitted fabric gives the users' hands a comfortable grip on the laptop while the polycarbonate material protects the laptop. Unlike other cases, it features a fold-out stand to allow the user a workstation-like setup.
It also features a magnetic closure mechanism to keep the lid securely shut when the laptop is not in use, and works with the MacBook's in-built magnetic sleep/wake feature. The Spigen Urban Fit cases for Apple's 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro sell for $69.99.
Urban Armor Gear Dot Series MacBook Pro
The easy snap-on design by Urban Armor is paired with a "progressive dot pattern" for excellent protection for the MacBook Pro.
Featuring a single-piece hinge design made out of a lightweight plastic material, it is simple to install. The case also protects the laptop from scratches, all while being razor-thin. It also features drilled air vents for proper airflow.
Available in four colors for $59.95 each, the case adds a pop of color to the protection as well.
