Deals: $400 off 2014 15" MacBook Pros & mid-2015 15" MacBook Pros at the lowest prices

Last updated

Apple's 2015 MacBook Pro lineup is now complete and AI is proud to offer all 13- and 15-inch Force Touch models at the lowest prices anywhere via exclusive discount coupons. Meanwhile, the 2014 models they replace are now a bargain with fresh price cuts of $200-$400.

Mid-2014 MacBook Pro Price Drop

Apple's new mid-2015 15-inch MacBook Pros include the company's new Force Touch Trackpad and faster internal flash memory. The 4 high-end configurations also replace NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M discrete graphics cards with new AMD Radeon R9 M370X cards. Outside of these changes, the mid-2014 models and mid-2015 are strikingly similar, making exceptional values out of any existing mid-2014 models currently being offered at deep discounts.

Apple drew down channel inventory pretty tight into Tuesday's refresh, leaving very few mid-2014 models in resellers' hands. B&H is among a select few resellers with a handful of models left, which it has just marked down by $200-$400. In each case, the new prices are the lowest prices available anywhere for these models, according to our Price Guides. These models are limited to existing inventory and are not expected to last long. Note that B&H is an Apple Authorized Reseller and only collects sales tax on orders shipped to its home state of NY. Readers can pair any of these Macs with AppleCare for 15-inch MacBook Pros for $244 ($105 savings).

Wouldn't mind a new MBP but hard to give up my 2010 15" MBP which has upgradable RAM/SSD. What do you all think next year's update will add? Thinking it's best to wait till then.

Next year's will have Skylake CPU, which will recharge wirelessly.

@schlack - I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've added an SSD and maxed the memory at 8GB in my mid-2010 15" MBP and am finding it difficult to justify the upgrade to the new one as well. That they upgraded these to "new" Haswell processors and didn't even do updated Broadwells only makes me shrug more. I'll see if I can hold out until what will hopefully be October for a Skylake upgrade.
