Mophie has introduced a new modular charging system, the Juice Pack Connect, that allows users to charge their phones on demand using a detachable battery.
The Juice Pack Connect is a 5,000mAh detachable battery, which can charge any Qi-enabled smartphone. Mophie states that it can charge wirelessly through lightweight cases and is designed to be attached and detached as needed.
The Juice Pack Connect charges via USB-C, which can also charge a secondary device, such as a pair of wireless headphones.
The battery attaches to your phone or lightweight phone case via an adhesive anchoring system. Mophie includes a phone grip that can use the same anchor, giving you a more secure hold on your smartphone. The phone grip can also double as a stand.
The Juice Pack Connect is available from Zagg's site now and can be purchased for $79.95, but AppleInsider readers can take an additional 20% off with the promo code "INSIDER20."

must really suck to be an accessory maker and not have an inside line to Apple like Belkin does.
i can’t imagine why anyone would buy something like this without Magsafe. these things are going straight to a landfill.
But is Magsafe strong enough to hold an axillary battery pack?
