Apple on Tuesday released a new Pro Display XDR calibration tool in the latest firmware update for the professional monitor.

The Pro Display XDR Calibrator tool, which is available from the company's support website, allows users to measure the calibration of their displays, fine-tune the calibration, and perform in-field recalibration, depending on their needs or specific workflows.

Additionally, Apple also issued a support document that offers step-by-step guidance for the tool. That includes fine-tuning a calibration to a specific target, or recalibrating the display to a third-party spectroradiometer.

The new calibration features require macOS Catalina 10.15.6 and the latest firmware update, Display Firmware 4.2.30.

OT, but does anyone have an opinion about the Spears & Munsil 4K UHD calibration disc? Is it worth getting, or would the free images/ videos you get for calibrating the screens as good?
