Apple encourages Apple Watch owners to get up and move for Earth Day and International Dance Day

Apple Watch wearers can earn two new challenge badges in April by taking part in Earth Day and International Dance Day Apple Watch Activity Challenges.

Apple routinely encourages Apple Watch wearers to get up, get out, and be more active by offering limited-time awards through the Apple Fitness app.

In April, as first spotted by 9to5 Mac, Apple Watch owners will be able to pick up two challenge awards. The first challenge occurs on Earth Day, April 22, and requires participants to do any workout for 30 minutes or more.

The second comes on April 29, which happens to be International Dance Day. Participants can earn this award by doing a dance workout for 20 minutes or longer.

Apple recently held an International Women's Day challenge for 2021, awarding participants a unique badge for doing a 20-minute workout on March 8.

Recently, Apple launched Apple Fitness+, a streaming exercise service that uses the Apple Watch to provide real-time feedback on a users workout. Users can choose from a broad category of activities, ranging from strength, cycling, walking, and even dance-based exercises.

Work out for Earth Day? No problem. I would be doing that anyway.
Dance Day? I don’t dance. Never have. Guess I’ll pass on that one.

Only a month+ late info on the Womens Day challenge. As usual. Surprised to see these a week ahead.
