Trump sues tech CEOs in effort to get back on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube

Following Facebook's banning of Donald Trump for at least two years, plus similar moves from Twitter and others, the former president says he has issued six lawsuits. They are to each of the platforms, plus then to each of the CEOs, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter's Jack Dorsey, and Google's Sundar Pichai.

"We're not looking to settle," he told reporters, according to CNBC. "We don't know what's going to happen but we're not looking to settle."

What the suits are calling for is twofold. They want the media companies to allow Trump back on their platforms, and they want Section 230 to be declared unconstitutional. Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act prevents companies being liable for what users post on their services.

According to CNBC, Twitter and Google spokespeople have declined to comment. Facebook has yet to respond.

Trump's attorney Matthew Lee Baldwin of Vargas, Gonzalez, Baldwin, Delombard, has so far failed to clarify whether the former president has actually filed the suits in court yet.

The announcement was made by former president Trump at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club. He spoke accompanied by leaders from the pro-Trump America First Policy Institute, which is reportedly supporting the suits.
