Viral 'Planet of the Bass' full track coming to Apple Music soon

'Planet of the Bass'

A viral song parodying classic '90s Eurovision dance music will release in full on Apple Music on August 15.

If you're an active TikTok user, you may have noticed a new viral trend going around involving a track called "Planet of the Bass." It's pushing the limits of parody by riding the line between sounding authentic and nonsensical.

The artist Kyle Gordon, aka @kylegordonisgreat on TikTok, shot the viral video dressed like a Blade vampire night club dancer with his Britney Spears-esque female dancer in broad daylight at a busy mall. Random people look on in confusion in the background as the two dancers act out their over-the-top '90s dance video.

People in the comments are demanding a full song release so they can blast it from their car stereo, and they won't have to wait long. According to the artist, "Planet of the Bass" will be available on Apple Music and other services on August 15.

The video has been viewed over 4 million times on TikTok and over 74.8 million times on Twitter. There are enough AppleInsider staff that were young adults in the '90s, that we have contributed some to the view count.

Pre-save the song via Kyle Gordon's Link.to page with links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music. The API call for Apple Music requires a sign-in and permissions to access the library, so use that at your own discretion. We'll update the link here when it goes live.
