Apple on Wednesday seeded the first beta version of the upcoming tvOS 13.4.8 to developers, with as-yet unknown changes.
The update, which is coming two weeks after the release of tvOS 13.4.5, is designed for fourth- and fifth-generation Apple TV models.
It isn't currently clear what's included in tvOS 13.4.8, but tvOS point updates are generally minor in scope with changes focused on under-the-hood updates and improvements.
The tvOS beta comes just two days after Apple released first beta builds of iOS and iPadOS 13.5.5 and macOS 10.15.6. Apple last updated tvOS on Monday with version 13.4.6, which addressed a kernel vulnerability behind the "unc0ver" jailbreak.
Registered Apple developers can download the tvOS 13.4.8 beta on an Apple TV with the proper configuration profile installed. Public beta versions of upcoming updates are typically released within a few days of a developer beta.

What's happening with the version numbers jumping? Happened a few times lately. Maybe a homage to the Mac OS 7.x era...
Hopefully corrects Dolby Vision dark scene issues, HDMI CEC communications (power on/off specifically). Support for YouTube native VP9 would also be welcome.
