Another busy pre-order period has pushed back iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max delivery dates, however not as quickly or markedly as with the iPhone 12, and iPhone 12 Pro.
The Apple Store began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max on Friday morning. As expected, orders began slipping shortly after they started, though not as rapidly as with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
Within minutes of those models becoming available to pre-order on October 16, customers outside the US were reporting that delivery estimates were slipping back one and two weeks.
In comparison, more than two hours after pre-orders began, the iPhone 12 mini remains available to arrive on November 13, across all of the Apple Store regions that AppleInsider has checked. The iPhone 12 Pro Max is also still November 13 in the US, Canada, and Australia, but it has begun to slip elsewhere.
In the UK, a newly-placed order for the iPhone 12 Pro Max will see it delivered between November 23 and 30. In France and Germany, it's slipped to a similar 2-3 weeks, while in Japan it's now between November 25 and December 2.
This is a snapshot of the state of orders and, invariably, dates will vary by model, capacity, and color configurations. Plus Apple has not released any details of just how many of each model it has produced, so it may, for instance, have produced far more of the iPhone 12 mini than of the iPhone 12.
It's also perhaps not surprising that these particular two models, the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max, will not be as popular as the others. They are arguably both more niche models, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max is also the most expensive option.

Another of today’s Appleinsider articles lists iPhone 12 Pro Max cases, but it doesn’t say which are supportive of Magsafe. In fact, it oddly says “Discussions Not Found” so no comments are even allowed. That’s why I played it safe and ordered Apple’s silicone case instead.
ordered mine around 11am on the east coast thru apple and says next friday for arrival.
There is no delay for in-store pickup. I mean Nov 13th for the mini and the Pro max every color and storage. The dates are later only if you choose delivery. So I guess the inventories are good so far. I’m in Canada.
Will there be iPhone 12 pro max stocks for walk-in customers on November 13? I chose blue and now I wanna change to gold but there is no more preorder stock left. I contacted Apple and they told me the only way is to tell them to change the color to gold when I collect the phone in-store and that's if they have stocks for walk-in customers.
