A video has been released promote the latest episode of The Oprah Conversation" on Apple TV+, sharing a clip of the interview with poet laureate Amanda Gorman talking about the inauguration.
The latest episode of The Oprah Conversation' went live on Apple TV+ on Friday, with National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman the guest for the episode. In promoting the show, a three-minute clip of Oprah Winfrey and Gorman was published to YouTube on Sunday, showing the kind of discussions that took place.
The clip starts off with Oprah bringing up poet Maya Angelou, who was a mentor for the media mogul. For her appearance at the inauguration of Bill Clinton, Oprah provided Angelou with a coat and gloves.
Oprah wanted to continue the tradition for Gorman, and did so by providing a ring of a caged bird, a reference to Angelou's autobiography "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings."
Gorman revealed that in trying to "write a poem worthy of an inauguration," she would listen to Angelou's poem "On the Pulse of Morning" for inspiration, and did so "probably every single morning of my last year of college."
The clip goes on to talk about Angelou's influences on Gorman, how Gorman had lost her voice and retraining how to speak, and how Angelou went through similar issues.
Gorman follows a number of other major names to have recently appeared on the Apple TV+ show. Recent guests include Barack Obama, Dolly Parton, and Stevie Wonder.
The interview is available to stream on Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and third-party devices that support Apple's streaming service.

After the Megan and her husband’s interview, a lot of Oprah credibility is gone. It is so one sided, and she don’t even bother to challenge from other angle like a good host should do.
