The four-part documentary series about Earvin "Magic" Johnson is now streaming on Apple TV+, and two new trailers show you what to expect.
"They Call Me Magic" debuted on Apple TV+ on April 22, and two new teasers showcase why sports fans may want to tune in. The documentary series is an examination of the real-life story of Magic Johnson, who is known for his accomplishments in and out of the NBA court.
The first trailer shows the story of how "Magic" got his nickname. A sports journalist pushed for the name, ultimately leading to packed stands coming to see the magic on the court.
The second trailer is a bit more run-of-the mill sizzle trailer with scenes and photos flashing by. Magic Johnson himself narrates the trailer stating, "The Magic brand and the Apple brand coming together. Shoot. It's Over!"
"They Call Me Magic" is now available to stream on Apple TV+ in its entirety. Customers can subscribe for $4.99 per month or via every tier of the Apple One subscription bundle.

The 4 part series They Call Me Magic on Apple TV+ is superb. It’s an outstanding 4 part series about one hour each. I was expecting the same style of documentary production that you would normally see but it was something completely different and it over delivered in every episode.
I respect iOS_Guy80's opinion but for me "They Call Me Magic" is not a very gripping series. We watched about 1.5 episodes and we didn't really like how this show was produced. I thought they took an interesting subject and made it kind of dull and disjointed.
