Genre-bending action and love story "The Gorge" is coming to Apple TV+ thanks to Apple's first-look partnership with Skydance.
Apple's production studio, Apple Original Films, has picked up the distribution rights to another of Skydance's upcoming feature films. "The Gorge" will be streamed on Apple TV+ once it releases.
According to a report from Deadline, Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy will co-star in the film. Plot details are being kept secret, but it is being promoted as a high-action, genre-bending love story.
The Apple and Skydance partnership has been called one of the best deals seen with a Hollywood studio. The company agreed that it will produce at least two fully-financed films with budgets up to $125 million, and a guaranteed payout of $25 million per movie.
This partnership also includes a first-look advantage when bidding on potential scripts. Apple picked up the script once Miles Teller signed on.
"The Gorge" will be directed by Scott Derrickson with Zach Dean penning the script. Catch the film when it releases at a later date on Apple TV+.
