macOS Ventura gets second Release Candidate beta

Second macOS Ventura Release Candidate beta is available

Apple has provided a second Release Candidate build of macOS Ventura to developers prior to the Monday launch.

The newest builds can be acquired from the Apple Developer Center by developers enrolled in the test program, and as an over-the-air update for hardware already running beta software. Public betas usually arrive a short time after the developer versions, and are downloaded through the Apple Beta Software Program website.

Beta thirteen of macOS Ventura arrives only two days after beta twelve, which landed on October 18. The eleventh was issued on October 11.

The second Release Candidate beta build is number 22A380, replacing 22A379.

Final public releases of macOS Ventura will arrive on October 24.

Inbound features in macOS Ventura include Stage Manager app management and multitasking, Live Captions for video, changes to Finder and System Settings, tweaks to Spotlight, Continuity Camera that turns an iPhone into a webcam, Passkeys, and upgrades to Messages, and Safari.

AppleInsider, and Apple itself, strongly advise users avoid installing betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the small chance of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices, and to make sure there are sufficient backups of important data before updating.
