Buyers of the iPhone 16 Pro Max may find the smartphone has grown compared to its predecessor, new images propose.
Apple is about four months away from introducing its new roster of flagship iPhone models. For 2024, the biggest one could take even more space in your pocket.
Images released by @ZoneofTech via X show a mock-up of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and puts it alongside the existing iPhone 15 Pro Max. Across the four images, the main takeaway is that the newer model should be a fair bit bigger than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Physical specifications aren't detailed by the leaker, but previous leaks offer more information.
It is also unclear where the mock-up was sourced. Even so, since it seems to be based on existing rumors, it does at least give an idea of the size difference between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the rumored iPhone 16 Pro Max.
One from late April showed off what could be the general screen sizes across the entire iPhone 16 range. At the time, leaker Sonny Dickson claimed the iPhone 16 and Plus will continue with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, while the Pro and Pro Max will grow to 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch versions.
These back up a report from September 2023, which put the iPhone 16 Pro as using a 6.27-inch display and the Pro Max at 6.85 inches.
Another mold leak from May 3 also hints at the size difference, despite the main focus being MagSafe changes.
ZoneofTech has a reasonably good reputation when it comes to leaks and rumors, though not necessarily at the front line of the rumor mill itself. Previously in April 2020, a fairly accurate mock-up of AirTags was shared before their release.

The 15 Pro Max is huge already, we don’t need this.
I just upgraded to 6.1 size iphone 15 with 512gb after careful comparison to the 15 Pro. The 6.1 size is already big enough. Hoping to get many years out of this phone and can’t imagine wanting a bigger and heavier phone.
I'll hold on hard to my beloved iPhone 12 Mini, while watching Apple relentlessly grow iPhone into a more iPad-like form factor. I guess they feel they can improve their bottom line by making the phones ever larger and more expensive.
Thank you Jeebus I don't have to use my old iP15Pro case on this new phone.
