Apple Stores worldwide turn (RED) for World AIDS Day

Marking World AIDS Day on December 1, hundreds of Apple Stores are adding (PRODUCT)RED window and product displays, and Apple online is promoting its related books, apps, and videos.
Apple has been working with (RED) to support the Global Fund's fight to end AIDS since 2006. A portion of the profits from distinctive red versions of Apple products goes to the fund.
To mark World AIDS Day 2022, Apple has announced that Apple-supported grants have amounted to over a quarter of a billion dollars. It's not clear what proportion of that sum is directly from Apple, but the company says the grants have now supported over 11 million people.
It's distributed over 197 million HIV tests, and also helped over five million HIV-positive mothers to prevent passing the virus on to their babies.
"Over the past 16 years," says Apple in a statement, "Apple and its customers have been part of the global fight to end AIDS."
"Apple's partnership with (RED) supports the Global Fund, which provides access to healthcare services to millions of individuals in communities most in need in sub-Saharan Africa," it continues, "including critical work in rural communities, and support for pregnant women and their families."
"In honor of World AIDS Day," says the company, "Apple is offering new ways for customers to continue to support the Global Fund, raise awareness, and learn more about the battle to end HIV/AIDS."

Separately, Apple announced in January 2022 that half of the proceeds from (PRODUCT)RED for the whole year, will go to the Global Fund.
