Two of the most acclaimed Apple TV+ series were honored at the 28th Critics' Awards, for best foreign language series, and best supporting actor.
Higher profile Apple TV+ shows "Severance" and "Bad Sisters" lost out at the Critics' Choice ceremony, but the streamer took home two wins from its eight nominations.
"Pachinko" beat series such as "1899," "My Brilliant Friend," and Apple TV+ show "Tehran" to win Best Foreign Language series.
Similarly, Apple TV+ was competing against itself in the category for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television. This time both nominations were for the same show, "Black Bird."
Paul Walter Hauser won out for his role of Larry Hall, beating what would have been a posthumous award for Ray Liotta, who died shortly after filming the series.
As awards season continues, Apple TV+ will next be hoping for a win in the UK where "Slow Horses" earned the streamer its first nomination at the Writers' Guild of Great Britain awards.
