Apple Maps brings Look Around to six Central Europe countries

Just over two weeks since Apple completed the new version of Apple Maps for Finland, Norway, and Sweden, it has brought it to Central Europe. Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovenia, now have the latest design.

"Apple Maps is the best way to explore and navigate the world, all while protecting your privacy," Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Services for Apple, repeated in the latest Apple Maps statement. "We are excited to bring this experience to even more users with the new features we're rolling out today."

"Maps has been rebuilt from the ground up, with better navigation, richer detail, more accurate information for places, and remarkable features that only Apple can deliver, like Look Around, Natural Language Guidance, and more," he continued. :Now it is easier than ever for users to find the places they love and get to where they're going."

Apple's announcement singles out "three-dimensional landmarks like Wiener Riesenrad in Austria, Pula Arena in Croatia, and Buda Castle in Hungary," which it says makes it "easier and more enjoyable to map out any journey."

The new Apple Maps first appeared in the US in 2019, when it was revealed that Apple had already been working on it for four years. By 2019, it was reported that Apple had spent billions of dollars on revamping its Maps service.
