Thread smart lock, Deebot T20 review, & more smart home news

HomeKit Insider

Your hosts discuss a new Thread-enabled interior door knob, review the Deebot T20 Omni, and cover plenty of news on this week's Homekit Insider podcast.

This week in smart home news, beloved Apple Home accessory maker Eve has been bought out by large conglomeration, ABB. Wanted for its industry-leading knowledge on Thread and Matter, Eve will continue to operate indecently for the moment, assisting towards ABB's own product lines.

Signify has re-released its Lightguide products after pulling them from market. Citing production issues, Signify wasn't able to scale these large decorative smart lights.

Now the Lightguide line has returned as a single SKU. The ellipse-shaped Philips Hue Lightguide bulb is available and there is still the optional pendant cable to hang it from your track light system and cover the bulb's stem.

Sleekpoint has introduced its latest product, the Holomarq interior door lock with Thread. This joins the company's existing Purelle air purifier.

Finally, Nomad has released two new MagSafe-compatible chargers to power up your iPhone at up to 7.5W of power and the one is compatible with StandBy in iOS 17.
