Accessory maker Belkin is out with several new announcements for CES 2021, including new MagSafe charging stands for the latest iPhone 12 models and some wireless earbuds that implement Apple's Find My technology.
Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 uses Apple's MagSafe
The Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 is very similar in design and feel to the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 that was recently released. In our review, we loved the charger but noted that it was overkill for users without an Apple Watch.
Design-wise, the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 has a stainless steel frame that uses MagSafe to elevate your iPhone 12 into the air where it can charge at 15W of power and can be rotated from portrait to landscape mode.
Belkin will release the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 around March or April for $99 and will be available through Apple Stores worldwide.
SoundForm Freedom True Wireless Earbuds
Belkin is also introducing its newest version of true wireless earbuds, the SoundForm Freedom. These new earbuds sport custom-built 7mm drivers, eight-hour non-stop playtime with an additional 20 hours of playback time in the case, environmental noise cancelation, IPX5 resistance, USB-C, and Qi wireless charging.
For iOS users, the headphones also feature Find My integration. This marks the first instance of a third-party integrating into Apple's Find My app to mimic the same locating functionality found in Apple's own AirPods and AirPods Pro.
The body of the case has a matte finish while the lid is glossy. Magnets securely hold the lid shut and the earbuds in place.
Belkin's Wemo Mini Smart Plug has been a hit for the company with key-placement in Apple Stores. At CES 2021, Belkin is announcing expanded availability of the HomeKit outlet to Apple Stores globally
