On the new episode of HomeKit Insider, Andrew's Mac Pro refuses to startup, iPhone 13 setup bugs, IKEA launches their Symfonisk lamp and speaker combo, Home+ 5.2 update, and we share our favorite sleep tracking apps.
This past week Aqara announced availability of its HomeKit-enabled smart roller blind retrofit controller that allows users to control shades with a bead or chain from Apple's smart home platform.
The biggest HomeKit news this week was the launch of the long-awaited second-generation Symfonisk lamp speaker that includes support for AirPlay 2. It's finally arrived with swappable shades to make it more customizable to your home and can work with Apple's smart home platform.
Aside from the new Symfonisk speaker, we also got a nice update to the Home+ 5 app that brought new icons and other tweaks.
We then spent a good chunk of the show talking about our setup issues with the new iPhone 13 including problems with our watches pairing properly.
Finally, we talked about sleep tracking in your smart home and recommended several different apps that can help you rest up.
