Apple nominated for six News & Documentary Emmy awards

On Thursday, Apple received six nominations for its celebrated Apple TV+ documentaries, including "The Line, "Fathom," and more.

In 2022, Apple received 52 Primetime Emmy Award nominations across 13 titles. Now, the Cupertino tech giant is racking up nominations for its documentaries, too.

The modern warfare docuseries "The Line" received two nominations for Best Documentary and Outstanding Investigative Documentary.

"Fathom," a groundbreaking nature documentary film received two nominations, including Outstanding Sound: Documentary and Outstanding Science & Technology Documentary.

Apple's award-winning film "9/11: Inside the President's War Room" received a single nomination for Outstanding Editing: Documentary.

And lastly, music docuseries "Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson" received a nomination for Outstanding Sound: Documentary.

The News & Documentary Emmy Awards are presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The awards aim to highlight excellence in American national news and documentary programming.

The 43rd Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards winners will be unveiled at ceremonies on September 28 and 29, 2022.
