Apple Watch won't get MicroLED display until 2025 at the earliest

According to Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple isn't quite ready to switch the Apple Watch to MicroLED, and anticipates that it won't make the shift until 2025 at the earliest.

In a post to Medium, Kuo said that Apple's 2024 Apple Watch will not be switching to Micro LED.

"The 2025 new Apple Watch will likely use Micro LED, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's postponed to 2026," the post reads.

He also said that he does not believe that the highly anticipated blood glucose monitoring feature will roll out in 2024, and may not land in time for 2025, either.

Kuo suggests that the Apple Watch due in 2024 will not offer any new innovative experiences.

This prediction falls in line with a 2025 revamp that we've seen suggested elsewhere. One report suggests that Apple is scheduling the Apple Watch X for launch sometime in 2024 or 2025. The theory is that it will be a celebration in line with the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch itself.
