Apple TV+ holds press event for 'Dr. Brain' on day of US premiere

Apple TV+ on Wednesday held a press event and photo-call for its upcoming South Korean sci-fi drama, "Dr Brain," which premieres on Nov. 3 in the U.S. and Nov. 4 elsewhere.

Based on the popular web cartoon of the same name, "Dr. Brain" follows a brilliant brain scientist Sewon who suffers a horrific personal tragedy when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident. "Desperate to uncover what happened, he goes to extraordinary lengths to solve the tragic mystery by conducting 'brain syncs' with the dead to access their memories for clues," Apple said of the series.

At the press event Wednesday, participants included director and co-writer KIM Jee-woon, as well as cast members LEE Sun-kyun, LEE You-young, PARK Hee-soon, SEO Ji-hye, and LEE Jae-won

"Dr. Brain" is part of a growing stable of international content on Apple TV+. Other shows sourced from global storytellers include "Pachinko" and "Masters of the Air."

The first episode of the series debuts on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, November 3 in the U.S. New episodes will debut weekly.
