On this week's Homekit Insider podcast episode, your hosts talk about new software updates, upcoming products, and answer some listener questions.
This week we start the news with an update to the recently-reviewed Aqara G4 smart video doorbell. It fixes several bugs but notably adds longer dynamic video recording compared to static 6-second clips.
Samsung also officially announced that its entire 2023 television lineup is available to purchase after being announced at CES 2023. The Ember Travel Mug 2+ with Apple Find My also is available to order starting April 11.
We spent the rest of the episode breaking down some listener questions, such as if there was any way to log medications via the Shortcuts app.
Paul Collison asked if there were any HomeKit Secure Video Doorbells available in the UK and if so, which we'd recommend.
Finally, we revisited the Apple TV app issue we tackled in last week's episode with some additional complaints that users sent in.
