Apple announces a Scary Fast Mac event, iOS 17.1 is released, Apple Services prices go up, and more on the AppleInsider Podcast.
Scary Fast
A surprise Apple Event is happening on Monday, dubbed "Scary Fast." It's clearly a Mac reveal event, but rumors and product release timelines are all over the place, making predicting the event difficult.
Apple released iOS 17.1 to the public on Wednesday, which enables a few new features. Your hosts discuss some bugs they've experienced and Apple's shift from likes to favorites in Apple Music.
Notably, Double Tap is now available on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 with watchOS 10.1. The jury is still out on how useful the feature is, but it works as expected.
Also, Apple One prices have gone up in conjunction with price increases for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple News+. Wesley and Stephen make the case for why Apple One Premier is still a great value, especially in a world filled with price hikes from competing services.
