Rovio has announced a re-release of the classic "Angry Birds" which has been rebuilt for modern devices and is faithful to the original game for only $0.99.
Rovio Entertainment, the makers of Angry Birds, is being sued by New Mexico's attorney general over allegations the company collects and sells personal data of children under the age of 13.
Apple has rolled out out three new versions of App Store classic games to Apple Arcade, including "Angry Birds Reloaded," "Alto's Odyssey: The Lost City," and "Doodle God Universe."
The most successful Nintendo/DeNA smartphone game so far has been "Fire Emblem Heroes," pulling in about $295 million worldwide in its first year, according to recent data. But, competitor Rovio might challenge that with the new "Angry Birds Champions" which allows users to win cash prizes in online tournaments.
Finnish developer Rovio will launch its first official sequel to the ultra-popular "Angry Birds" game on July 30, debuting on mobile platforms including Apple's iOS.
