Apple has released an update to the OS X edition of iMovie, making several minor but important changes, including integration with Yosemite's new Photos app, which is bundled with the current OS X 10.10.3 beta.
At the release of iPhone 5c and 5s, Apple announced it would begin throwing in free copies of its Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iPhoto and iMovie apps. It now says (in text that has since been removed from its website) it will add a free copy of Garage Band, too, with In App Purchases of instruments and sounds.
Apple on Tuesday issued an update for its consumer level movie editing and creation software, iMovie, bringing a fix for an issue that would prevent the app from recognizing video cameras connected to a user's Mac.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple 16 patents on Tuesday, including filings related to solar power, methods for detecting and switching device orientation and a Cover Flow-like interface for editing video.
