The latest Brydge keyboard for the iPad Air is available for pre-order, and features a native multi-touch trackpad, backlit keyboard, and magnetic attachment.
Unlike the 11.0 Pro+ and 12.9 Max+, the Air Max+ targets a more functional design that can be used in any environment. Like the 10.2 Max+, it has antimicrobial protection and a plastic finish.
Brydge claims the native multi-touch trackpad is the largest available for the iPad Air. It supports gestures just like the Apple Magic Trackpad and connects over Bluetooth 5.0 with zero lag. Brydge promises a similar experience to using the Smart Connector found in the Magic Keyboard for iPad.
Previous models like the 11.0 Pro+ keyboard used clamps to hold the iPad in place. Now you'll be able to attach the iPad Air or iPad Pro using the built-in magnets. This allows a much easier attachment and removal workflow without worrying about positioning or rubber shims.
Just like Brydge's other keyboards for iPad, the Air Max+ has a function row and backlit keys. It has a 3-month battery life between charges and can be recharged using USB-C.
