On this episode of the HomeKit Insider podcast, we break down all of the announcements coming out of CES 2024 from door locks, to air purifiers, and everything in between.

There was an incredible amount of news out of the massive tech show this week, encompassing many different categories of the smart home.

We saw more smart locks debut this week, including one from TP-Link that has a built in smart doorbell and another from Lockly with Home Key and facial recognition.

Multiple vacuums pledged support for Matter, including the two fan-favorites Ecovacs and Roborock. Ecovacs added a handheld vacuum to the side while Roborock improved the mop height, suction power, and corner coverage with an extending arm.

Qi2 was prevalent with seemingly dozens of chargers being announced. We saw several Qi2 devices from Aukey, Scosche, Mophie, Hyper, Anker, ESR, and Zens. A few them we had on-hand to demo during the episode.

There were new lights from Govee and Nanoleaf. Govee has a new Matter-enabled light strip while Nanoleaf has new outdoor lights and music synchronization software.

New air purifiers are coming from both AirThings and Mila. AirThings is bringing Matter to its Vue sensor and Mila has an assortment of different filters for different homes.

In the Find My department, Chipolo has a new special promotion where they are selling slightly damaged cards as part of a new campaign to support charity while Rolling Square has a new tracker for your keychain with extra-loud speakers.

Finally, Mui Board 2 is launching on Kickstarter as a certified Matter controller, able to send commands to any of your Matter accessories like lights, thermostats, and more.
