After years of crippling drought, California is now entering a powerfully wet El Niño weather pattern that is predicted to bring record precipitation. Flooding in coastal areas along San Francisco Bay poses risks of devastating economic impacts for the region, although Apple's principal offices centered in Cupertino should help it avoid much of the impact.

Phase two of Apple's ambitious Campus 2 construction project is now well underway, just six months after the new testing workshops and facilities for additional research and development--large enough for vehicle-size innovation work--began rising on the former site of a series of obsolete buildings located next to the main "Spaceship Ring."

Five of the nine building segments making up the "Spaceship" Ring in Apple's Campus 2 mega-project have reached their ceiling just six months after the initial dining hall structure reached its fifth floor back in March.

The grand, expansive dining area portal of the center "Spaceship" Ring in Apple's Campus 2 mega-project has reached its ceiling, with a steel structure now only barely visible over the construction barrier from the street, but clearly discernible from the air.
