Apple opens 'reimagined' new Abu Dhabi retail store

Apple Yas Mall in has now been revamped, "reimagined," and finally reopened in Abu Dhabi, doubling the space in the prestigious Apple Store.

Seven years after Apple unveiled its original Apple Yas Mall, the store has been relocated to a new part of the shopping center, and greatly revamped.

"With the opening of the newly expanded Apple Yas Mall," said Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail + People in a statement, "our team is ready to welcome even more of Abu Dhabi's incredibly diverse and innovative community to this beautiful new space."

"We look forward to continuing to bring the best of Apple to the UAE," she continued, "and building on our history in the region."

Apple says that the new store, which opened on February 3, 2022, is almost double the space of the 2015 location. It's intended to serve "as a reimagined space for customers" browsing, buying, and getting Today at Apple training sessions.

According to Apple, the Apple Yas Mall store has 100 staff "who collectively speak 33 languages and represent 32 nationalities." More than half of the original team still works in the new store, and overall the team has doubled since that 2015 opening.

That curved glass corner window probably cost more than your house.

Interesting point!

I can't imagine where Apple would be today without its own retail stores, which just keep getting better over the years. What a contrast to Microsoft's feeble efforts in that kind of activity!!
