Music streaming company Spotify has filed a complaint with the European Commission claiming that Apple takes more money than it should be entitled to, isn't providing information on customers to vendors, and is unfairly limiting third-party access to technologies such as Siri, HomePod and Apple Watch.

Apple's new podcast metadata rules ban episode numbers, threaten removal [u: episode numbers permitted]

Apple has contacted the makers of podcasts hosted on iTunes and details how they should write the metadata that details the show, episode and so on, with the biggest changes forbidding podcast show names in titles as well as banning episode numbers.

True, Rogue Amoeba's Loopback 2 is only a must-have app if you ever work with audio -- but you probably do, so it likely is. The tool for routing audio between apps and audio devices gets a makeover and doesn't add new features but greatly refines what it has.
