Evernote gains reminders, Telltale's poker comes to iOS & Angry Birds Space goes free

A new update for popular note taking app "Evernote" adds reminders, while Telltale Games' "Poker Night at the Inventory 2" has debuted on iOS. Also, Rovio's "Angry Birds Space" has gone free on the App Store.

Evernote gets three key features

The Evernote team announced the latest update in a post on the app's blog, noting that the app has finally received a Reminder function. Reminders integrate the three most asked for features: in-app and email alarms, quick note-based to-do lists, and pinning notes to the top of a note list.

Users can add reminders by tapping the alarm clock located at the top of the note on Mac and the Web, and at the bottom of the note on an iPhone or iPad. They can also set times for when reminders should be completed.

The new version of Evernote is available as a free download in the iOS App Store and the Mac App Store, as well as on the Web.

Angry Birds Space goes free

The wildly popular mobile game Angry Birds Space is now available for free in the iTunes App Store. The follow-up to Angry Birds, Angry Birds Space puts the eponymous birds into the vacuum of space, where they continue to pursue their vengeance against the pigs.

The title features the same destructible environments and addictive gameplay, with the added element of zero-gravity areas. Also, the pigs freeze and shatter when knocked into the freezing void of outer space.

Angry Birds Space is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store. Both the iPhone and iPad version of game are available for free. The game is compatible with iPhones from the 3GS and up, as well as the third-generation iPhone and up, and iPads. Devices must be running iOS 4.3 or later.

Poker Night at the Inventory 2 debuts on iOS

Telltale Games, makers of The Walking Dead, have released Poker Night at the Inventory 2 for iOS devices. Telltale's poker game brings familiar faces from a range of other video games, setting them around a poker table to do battle in Texas Hold 'em.

Players can face off against Claptrap from Borderlands 2, Brock Samson from The Venture Bros., Ash from Army of Darkness, and Sam from the Sam and Max series. The dealer is GLaDOS, the evil but witty antagonist from Valve's Portal series.

Poker Night 2 is available for download from the App Store. The 457MB download requires an iPhone 4, fourth-generation iPod touch, or iPad 2 or above. It costs $5.
