Apple's M5 series of products are coming soon, and evidence of their nearing announcement mounts with an FCC leak containing multiple model numbers for iPad Pro and MacBook Pro models that don't yet exist.

Leaks come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, but one Apple may never be able to get away from is regulatory leaks. The FCC already accidentally revealed confidential iPhone 16e schematics, but the latest leak is for unreleased products.

According to a report from MacRumors, the FCC shared multiple device identifiers that don't correspond with existing devices. They seem to belong to upcoming M5 devices.

The model numbers are:

  • A3434: MacBook Pro
  • A3357: 11-inch iPad Pro, Wi-Fi
  • A3358/A3359: 11-inch iPad Pro, cellular
  • A3360: 13-inch iPad Pro, Wi-Fi
  • A3361/A3362: 13-inch iPad Pro, cellular

The numbers themselves don't say much, but based on Apple's usual numbering schemes, these are definitely new products. They are likely all M5 versions of the products as well.

However, the FCC leak may not mean an October reveal. These filings can take place as early as six months prior to launch, so a spring MacBook Pro launch is still possible.

The iPad Pro models with M5 may be arriving sooner since there was another leak Tuesday. A Russian YouTuber seems to have an unreleased iPad Pro, though it doesn't have the correct packaging.

Now that the iPhone 17 event has come and gone, expect more leaks and info on upcoming iPads, Macs, and other products. There's always a chance of an October or November Apple Event, but nothing official has been announced yet.
