Insta360 has released its own take on the popular rear-camera selfie screen. Dubbed 'Snap,' it allows you to use your iPhone's higher quality rear cameras the same way you'd use the front cam.
If you haven't seen them before, a rear selfie screen is essentially a plug-and-play touchscreen monitor that shows you what your rear cameras see. This makes it significantly easier to line up the perfect shot, whether for video or a still image.
Snap attaches to the back of your phone magnetically and plugs into the USB-C port. There's no internal battery, so it'll siphon power directly from your phone.
While it works with your iPhone's built-in camera app, we suspect that its ability to work with third-party apps is the real selling point. You can use Snap with Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and more.
According to Insta360, Snap is compatible with iPhone 15 and newer devices. It's also compatible with Android devices, as its main requirement is a USB-C port.
Currently, there are two versions available. You can get the base model for $79.99, or you can pay an additional $10 to get the model with a temperature-adjustable built-in ring light.
