AirPods Max, have been the most silent pair of headphones I've worn. Yes, I own a pair of AirPods Pro Gen 2. I own two pairs of Gen 2 pros, both Lightning, and USB-C.
For an ALL-DAY use case, the AirPods Max are a complete solution with 20 hours of use, and you can charge at any time while still using them. The AirPods Pro G2 only have maybe 6hrs of use until they must be recharged, hence the need to own two pair.
Apple needs to release an AirPods Max 2. I'm looking forward to further modifications to this over-ear design. The ear cups completely block out sound. I added a silicon type core to the ear pad portion itself, which creates even better sound seal. The firmware updates over the last ~4 years have corrected many of the trouble issues where condensation may disturb the ANC, the firmware now compensates.
