Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 11 on September 9 with upgrades that focus on health, performance, and software intelligence. Here's what's new.

The Apple Watch once again joins the iPhone lineup at Apple's September keynote. The Apple Watch Series 11 ships with watchOS 26 and opens for preorder on September 12, with general availability beginning September 19.

At first glance, the Apple Watch Series 11 looks nearly identical to the Apple Watch Series 10. The aluminum and stainless steel finishes return, and the square design remains unchanged.

A lot of what Apple promoted for the new Apple Watch Series 11 is based on advancements in processing data, not new hardware. There are two notable upgrades in this model — a longer battery life and stronger display cover.

The Apple Watch once again shares the stage with the iPhone lineup at Apple's September keynote. It comes with watchOS 26, opens for preorder on September 12, and lands in stores on September 19.

Design changes are subtle, but durability has improved with a new Ion-X glass display that's twice as scratch resistant as before. The Apple Watch Series 11 also adds 5G cellular connectivity with more efficient power use on wireless.

Battery life is rated for up to 24 hours.

On the software side, new watch faces include Flow, which highlights Apple's "Liquid Glass" design language, and Exactograph, a precision-focused layout.

Smartwatch features include sleep score, scratch-resistant glass, recycled materials, ECG, hypertension alerts, gestures, 5G, fast charging, and live translation. Thin design, new finish, workout buddy, long battery.

New features of Apple Watch Series 11

Health is the centerpiece of this update. A new high blood pressure app can notify users when it detects hypertension patterns. Apple says FDA clearance is pending. Sleep tracking also gains a "Sleep Score" that factors in movement, heart rate, and breathing to measure quality.

These new features are also available on Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Pricing and availability

The Apple Watch Series 11 starts at $399 in the U.S. Customers can choose between aluminum finishes in space gray, jet black, rose gold, and silver, or polished titanium in natural, gold, and slate.
