Apple rolled out updates across its creative and productivity apps. Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro gain new features while the rest of the iWork lineup got bug fixes and stability improvements.

Apple's Creator Studio bundle includes pro tools like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Compressor, and Pixelmator Pro, along with productivity apps like Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. It's a unified platform for creating and publishing across different workflows.

Apple delivered updates through the App Store, with most apps receiving maintenance-focused changes for reliability and platform stability.

Logic Pro update targets modern production and spatial audio delivery

Logic Pro's most significant update includes new creative content and a workflow improvement for distribution. The new "Step Reflex: Modern Garage" sound pack features two-step rhythms, basslines, and synth textures typical of UK garage and similar electronic genres.

Sound packs in Logic are structured collections of loops, instruments, and patches that can be dropped directly into projects. Apple is effectively expanding the app's built-in toolkit for producers who want to sketch ideas quickly or build full tracks without relying on third-party libraries.

Next, the update adds a new export option that creates a shareable file for previewing spatial audio mixes as they will sound on Apple Music. Spatial audio mixes can change once they are encoded for streaming, which makes it harder for producers to judge the final result inside the editing environment. Logic now removes that extra step by letting creators preview mixes in a format closer to what listeners will actually hear.

Pixelmator Pro update focuses on camera workflows and editing efficiency

Pixelmator Pro also received a feature-focused update aimed at expanding compatibility with modern cameras. Apple added support for compressed RAW formats from Sony Alpha and Fujifilm GFX cameras, giving photographers more flexibility when working with original files.

The update includes HE and HE* RAW support for newer Nikon models and high-resolution RAW images from Panasonic Lumix systems. Expanded format support allows direct editing without converting files, preserving quality and speeding up workflows.

Apple has also refreshed the app's built-in templates and mockups, introducing new categories like app screenshots and device frames for iPhone 17 models.

Users can now press and hold to compare before-and-after edits instantly, which makes quick adjustments easier to evaluate. The update also lets users customize the tools sidebar and export SVG files with better compatibility for Adobe Illustrator.

Final Cut Pro and other apps receive stability updates

Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, MainStage, Final Cut Camera, Pages, Keynote, and Numbers all got updates in the same cycle. However, none of them came with any new features. Instead, the release notes mention stability improvements and bug fixes.

Video editor Final Cut Pro's lack of new features is notable, but it aligns with Apple's release schedule. Apple delivered a larger update on January 28, 2026, introducing new tools and workflow changes across the app.

Apple is likely using Thursday's release to stabilize earlier changes before moving forward with the next feature update.
