Corsair's new TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 Dock is perfect for dual-screen Mac setups

Last updated

Corsair has announced the availability of its new TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 dock, perfect for expanding your workstation while powering your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

Corsair's TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 Dock is a slim, durable aluminum Thunderbolt 3 dock that supplies 85W of power to your Thunderbolt 3 host device of choice. A power switch on the front allows you to turn the dock off when not in use.

The TBT100 boasts a variety of ports, including two high-speed USB 3.2 type-C 10Gbps ports and two USB 3.1 type-A 5Gbps ports. For those who run dual-monitor setups, two HDMI 2.0 ports enable two displays at 4K 60Hz in HDR.

A Gigabit Ethernet port allows for fast connections to your local network, and a built-in SD card reader cuts down on the number of adapters you need to keep track of.

The single 3.5mm audio in and out combination jack allows you to hook up microphones and headphones with ease, and a Kensington slot enables you to lock the dock to your workspace.

Corsair's TBT100 Thunderbolt Dock retails for $259.99. While the TBT100 is currently on backorder, it will ship once in stock, and features free shipping for Amazon Prime members.

It is such a pity Apple hasn’t written drivers for the Multi Stream Transport (MST) protocol and the only way to extend monitors is expensive thunderbolt.

No Thunderbolt out is a bit of a nuisance. Also kind of low on ports.
