As a part of Globant's BeHealthy program, the Earn Your Apple Watch app will give businesses tools to incentivize healthy lifestyle choices.
Globant is a consultancy company that helps businesses work through organizational challenges and workplace decisions through various programs. The BeHealthy program launches Thursday with a new tool Globant developed with the help of Apple.
According to Globant, the Earn Your Apple Watch app is a highly configurable, white label recognition and reward program. It will help clients improve the wellness and quality of engagement with their customers, members, or employees by implementing features of the Apple Watch.
"The Earn Your Apple Watch program is a powerful tool for personal insights in one of the most important areas of our lives - health and wellness. With this platform, our clients can go further in supporting their employees' and customers' wellness by offering a personalized, engaging tool," said Fernando Matzkin, Chief Business Officer of Globant North America. "Employees and consumers receive added motivation and incentive to improve their well-being while driving down healthcare costs and increasing positive engagement."
There are two models that companies can adopt from the program:
- Earn Your Apple Watch - participants can earn refunds toward the cost of a new Apple Watch by being active and meeting monthly exercise goals.
- Earn With Apple Watch - participants can earn rewards or unlock discounts by being active and meeting monthly exercise goals. Rewards can be vouchers for goods or services, or credits toward larger purchases or discounts offered by the sponsoring organization. This mode can also be integrated with companies' existing rewards platforms.
The program was piloted in April via Canada-based retailer London Drugs. A rewards program called LDExtras Achieve was created to reward customers with vouchers if they completed goals within the drug store app.
Globant says BeHealthy and the Earn Your Apple Watch program are built with software that protects the privacy of all users.
