Twelve South debuts StayGo mini USB-C hub designed for iPad Pro

The new StayGo mini can plug in flush, or use the extension cable

Twelve South has released a new model of its StayGo USB-C hub. The new StayGo mini is designed with iPad in mind and brings four ports to Apple's flagship tablet.

StayGo mini is very similar to the original StayGo USB-C hub with a black shell and a dot-riddled pattern on top. The larger StayGo had both a short, hidden cable within the device itself and a longer cable included in the box. That way, you could use the smaller cable on the go and the long one when at your desk.

This new mini version follows the same philosophy. It features an integrated male USB-C connector that can plug directly into the side of an iPad Air or iPad Pro, as well as a longer female to male USB-C cable to use when at your desk. Use the flush-mount or StayGo Connection Cable no matter where you are.

StayGo vs StayGo mini StayGo vs StayGo mini ports

There are four ports on the StayGo mini: USB-A, HDMI, headphone/audio out, and USB-C for power. The HDMI port supports 4K x 2K at 30Hz as well as full 1080P. The USB-A 2.0 port supports up to 5Gbps and the USB-C PD port can handle up to 85W of power. Though the iPad can't support 85W of input power, it's useful if used with a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

You can pick up the new StayGo mini from Twelve South for $59.99 or the original StayGo for $99.99.
